A Niece

I took this photo a week ago, of a niece on my wife's side, Zuko. It is an unedited photo -- the colours are real. These are typical township colours. To a "European" they can look garish -- but one gets to appreciate their special beauty. Zuko was sitting next to me in a crowded room when I turned the camera backwards to photograph her. OBSERVATION: She is a peaceful, intelligent, contented child. You may click on the photo to enlarge to 80k.

That's a genious foto, Thomas, worth to be published in the philosophical blog.

Thank you Theo. As usual, some of the best photos are chance photos, like this one. It was taken by turning the camera around in a second, to the girl sitting next to me. I shall ask the art editor Tessa den Uyl ... see what she thinks!
