Not-Quite-Famous

I became Not-Quite-Famous this week when someone wrote in to the UK's no. 1 electronics magazine EPE (above). The Heat Trick is a long lost circuit of mine that only got published years after I designed it. Personally, I really like the All Band Radio. It is a regenerative receiver, too, which makes it more interesting than an ordinary radio (it uses three knobs instead of two). Something I only discovered later, when someone wrote in to EPE, was that the All Band Radio, apart from receiving radio signals, became a little broadcasting station when you switched it on (in other words, if it were a product, the FCC would ban it).
